According to data from Qichacha, in 2017, there were 1,724 registered enterprises related to camping, and the number has steadily increased since then. Especially after the COVID-19 pandemic, camping demand has surged, and the number of camping-related enterprises registered has significantly increased. As of May 2022, there are a total of 53,000 camping-related enterprises in China, with 23,000 newly registered enterprises in just one year.
With outdoor culture as the foundation, the industry has accelerated its development. In fact, while the camping economy is booming, the camping industry is also undergoing a transformation towards fineness and youthfulness. This is not only a natural trend of individualized consumer demand among Generation Z, but also a new way of life brought by the pandemic. Camping equipment that were once considered too hardcore have now become activities full of ritual and atmosphere. Among them, tents, sunshades, outdoor chairs and tables, outdoor cooking equipment, and camping accessories are essential products for fine camping, which have become even more popular.
